Seeking a Spokesperson

The American Ummah is seeking one dedicated individual to join our production team as the official spokesperson — the face and voice representing our mission, values, and community.

We’re looking for someone who can confidently communicate our purpose: to amplify authentic stories from the American Muslim community through film, media, and storytelling. This is more than a role — it’s a calling to represent a growing movement built on creativity, integrity, and service.


About the Role

The Spokesperson will:

  • Serve as the on-screen and public voice for The American Ummah across campaigns, interviews, and social media.

  • Present our ongoing media projects, documentaries, and community updates.

  • Participate in scripted PSAs, fundraising videos, and documentary introductions.

  • Follow the lead of the producers and creators of The American Ummah while collaborating closely with the production team.

  • Have the opportunity to contribute creative input on scripts, video concepts, and campaign messaging.

  • Commit to being on board for at least one year, serving as a consistent representative of the movement.

  • Has a strong, confident presence and communicates with clarity and warmth.

  • Understands and aligns with the mission of The American Ummah.

  • Can speak passionately about community, storytelling, and faith.

  • Is comfortable on camera and eager to work under the direction of an experienced production team.

  • Is committed, professional, and passionate about being part of something larger than themselves.

Compensation

This is a paid position, with compensation determined by our monthly crowdfunding income. As our community support grows, so will the opportunities for paid work within the organization.
